Where we work: every Worcester ward and ten Worcestershire towns

We are based at 12 The Tything in Worcester, which puts most of the county inside a comfortable working radius. Below is exactly where we go, what the housing is like in each part of it, and an honest note about our regional construction expertise.

Worcester city

All fifteen Worcester wards

Worcester’s wards do not share a housing type, so they do not share a renovation brief. Grouped here by building style, because architectural structure changes the job scope.

Victorian & Edwardian terraces

Arboretum, St Peter’s, St Stephen, Rainbow Hill and parts of St John’s. Solid brick walls with no cavity, original sashes, and rear returns. Work here commonly involves full house renovation with breathable damp strategies.

Inter-war & 1930s semis

Bedwardine, Battenhall, and much of St John’s. Bay fronts and hipped roofs. Our loft conversions almost always need dormers here, paired with cost-effective house extensions.

Post-war estates

Gorse Hill, Nunnery, Warndon and parts of Claines. Cavity walls make insulation straightforward. Common projects include kitchen renovations, bathroom refits, and structural knock-throughs.

1980s onwards

Warndon Parish North, Warndon Parish South and newer parts of Claines. Modern construction and clear access. Popular for garage conversions and trussed roof loft alterations.

Conservation & city centre

Cathedral / City Centre. Designated conservation areas and listed buildings requiring careful planning navigation. Learn about our licensing & insurance standard for historic homes.

Riverside & flood-aware

St Clement, low-lying parts of St John’s. Properties inside flood zones require specialized ground-floor specs — solid floors, non-absorbent insulation, and raised electrics led by our master builders.

Worcestershire towns

Ten towns, each with its own page

These are not the same job with a different postcode. A Malvern hillside plot, an Evesham flood-zone terrace and a Tenbury timber frame need three different specifications, so each has its dedicated service page.

Malvern & Great Malvern

Hillside plots, Malvern stone, Victorian spa villas and listed buildings. Extensions here need stepped foundations and retaining structures.

Upton-upon-Severn

Timber-framed and Georgian buildings in a conservation area, with flood history shaping ground-floor construction specifications.

Evesham

Inside a loop of the Avon. Flood risk dictates ground-floor builds, and Vale outbuildings present ideal conversion potential.

Pershore

Georgian market town with a conservation core, period frontages, and clear consent processes for street elevations.

Droitwich Spa

Diverse housing stock from Victorian spa villas to modern suburban developments across the town.

Bromsgrove

Commuter-belt housing, larger plots, and rear extension additions dominating modern renovation briefs.

Kidderminster

Carpet-town terraces and post-war estates with strong demand for solid-wall insulation and open-plan remodeling.

Redditch

Consistent new-town construction methods, clear access, and highly predictable extension and loft conversion projects.

Tenbury Wells

Half-timbered structures, off-mains utilities, and river flood risk considerations requiring experienced construction management.

Coverage questions

Do you cover my postcode?

If you are in a WR postcode we almost certainly do. B60 to B98 around Bromsgrove and Redditch, and DY10 to DY14 around Kidderminster, are also inside our regular working area. You can also view our remodel cost guide to explore project investment levels.

Does travel cost extra?

Within Worcester and our primary Worcestershire towns, no. On the outer edges of the county for minor works, we will give you an honest recommendation if a hyper-local trade serves you better.

Which council handles my planning application?

Worcester City Council inside the city. Malvern Hills District Council for Malvern, Upton and Tenbury. Wychavon for Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich. Bromsgrove and Redditch each have their own councils and local development plans.

Can you work on a property I do not live in yet?

Yes. Unoccupied properties offer optimal scheduling workflows for full renovations. If a property has been empty for two years or more, reduced VAT rates may apply. Check our full house renovation cost guide for details.

Not sure if we reach you?

Send your postcode and what the job is. You will get a straight yes or no, not a maybe.
